E-Learning:
- E-Learning is run by PADI. Once purchased, you will receive an account creation email that belongs to you. E-Learning is non-refundable once purchased.
- For the PADI Open Water Course, students must complete no less than the first eLearning module prior to their first pool session which will be verified by staff. Failure to have completed the first module prior to the pool session will result in being rescheduled with a $100 fee.
Class Scheduling, Refunds, No-shows, Payment:
- Pool Class: Students scheduled for a Saturday pool class that need to reschedule must do so no later than 72 hours prior (no later than Wednesday 8am before the scheduled Saturday,) to avoid additional fees. Any reschedule after that period and any no-show to class will be subject to a $100 rescheduling fee and will, in most cases, need to be moved to the next class cycle. For the purpose of notification, we will use the timestamp in which a student has either emailed, left a voicemail, or left a text message to inform staff of their need to reschedule. This is sufficient for purposes of timing. We will go by the student's time of first communication, not the time of our response.
- Open Water Class: Students scheduled for a weekend open water class that need to reschedule must do so no later than 7 days prior to avoid additional fees. Any reschedule after that period will be subject to a $100 rescheduling fee and being recycled to the next open water trip.
- For a pool class, will result in a reschedule at the cost of $100. Second time no-shows will be disenrolled immediately with no refund. Additionally, Try Diving! and refresher courses, being less than the reschedule fee, are non-refundable in the event of a no-show. We schedule these two experiences so that you will have a dedicated staff member to guide you through them and staff members are employees. As such, they are compensated for their time to be present to conduct the class, even if their assigned student(s) decide not to attend and provide no notice.
- For an open water class, will be disenrolled immediately with no refund.
- Payments: Payment for class must be made in full prior to the start of in-water work. We do not take payment plans. Payment options are available on the website.
- Try Diving! - Must be paid in full prior to the scheduled Saturday
- Open Water Diver - Must purchase eLearning on our site and complete module 1 before starting first pool session. Remainder of tuition can be paid on our site before the first pool session or in-person on the first Saturday of class prior to starting (we accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and cash.)
- All other classes - Contact for payment info.
Loss/Theft/Damage of Gear:
- Damage of Student Gear: Students are expected to handle gear appropriately and with respect, as though it were your own. Students will be charged for the repair of gear caused by reasons outside of normal use/wear and tear.
- Loss or Theft of Gear: Students will be charged for all gear that they are assigned which is lost or stolen.
Gear Requirements: As students move through the courses, it is expected that they have some level of gear ownership moving forward, especially if intending to commit to higher levels of recreational diving and especially if going the professional route of diving. This also helps to split up the cost of gear over time as opposed to making one very large purchase. Note: we do sell and recommend gear, however students are free to procure their equipment from any source they choose so long as it is functional and safe.
- Try Diving! and Open Water Diver: Students are not required to have any gear for either of these classes. It is strongly recommended that students purchase, at minimum, a mask, snorkel, and fins. This allows for having well-fitting personal gear for both diving and if you simply choose to snorkel at some point in the future.
- Advanced Open Water: At a minimum, students must own a mask, snorkel, fins
- Rescue Diver: At a minimum, students must own a mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit, and BCD
- Divemaster: At a minimum, students must own a mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit, BCD, and regulator (w/ or w/o dive computer.) Divemaster is the first professional level certification and our DM candidates are expected to exude confidence in their gear and the ownership of said gear. We will only provide tanks and weights for DM and higher. Gear must be owned PRIOR to starting your DM candidacy; it cannot be purchased over the course of candidateship.
- Specialties: Specialties that require specific equipment require ownership of such equipment (such as camera, DPV, S&R equipment, etc.)
